After a week of strong precursory rhetoric, President Trump authorized airstrikes on Syria late Friday EST, hitting the Eastern end of the capital city of Damascus early Saturday morning.
President Trump issued this statement to the nation Friday evening:
“I ordered the United States armed forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapon capabilities of Syrian dictator of Bashar al-Assad.
“The combined American, British and French response to these atrocities will integrate all instruments of our national power: military, economic and diplomatic.
“We are prepared to sustain this response until the Syrian regime stops its use of prohibited chemical agents”.
One has to wonder the reasoning for US involvement into yet another Middle-Eastern affair that has nothing to do with domestic national security. The only answer thus far has been “Israel”, which Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi cited within seconds of his initial question on Tucker Carlson Tuesday.
Along with the United States, Britain and France have launched airstrikes of their own. Official statement from the U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May came via Twitter.

Worst of all, the media is in a total state of rejoice. ABC News has promised this is not a front for regime-change, which makes one question if we are all on the Groundhog’s Day timeline. Watch the war-mongering live here.
